Maybe not the spin Mr. Jackson had in mind, but this was definitely a dad-and-daughter song when I was a kid. I had little interest in the mansion or limousine concept, but singing with my Dad and having the affirmation of affection was all I could want.

Still very much the case.

Again, Camp Theme this summer is "Superhero," so it was a matter of time before this landed up here.

I can tell you that I'm somewhat hesitant to trust in anyone human to be my hero. My dad's had the title since I was a little girl, but anyone else has got to be someone pretty special for me to count on them.

Similar to another previous one. Love songs I love are often not quite set for the story to describe myself and my dearest love, so they find themselves being altered a bit while I'm singing to myself. As I'm not likely to have a singing career, and it's often a time with just me and him, it seems more appropriate to sing it that way.

It's been suggested that I have what's called a Messiah complex - I want to save everyone and everything. I don't necessarily want to vanquish any particular enemies, but I want everyone to stop getting hurt, and it bothers me - a lot - when I can't save someone.

That being said, this summer's theme is "Superhero". Every other superhero out there who saves the damsel in distress, there's a decent chance of her needing to be saved again. The point is that there's only one Superhero who, once he saves you, you never need to be saved again.

He's also the one who fills that particular need and loneliness in this little SuperGirl's heart.
