I don't know if he was planning to or not, but somehow I got a little of the story of what happened and how I made him feel before. We've known each other for years, but I ditched him and went to chase off after something else, and just kind of said that we'd stay friends. He kept loving me, though. I ran across this song recently, and a lot of it fit with what he described from then. I'm amazed that he still loved me through me hurting him like that, but so happy and thankful that he did. Little bit of love, sent my way, every day - and I had it in my head that we'd just be friends at best.

Little bit of love over and over just might be what made the difference.
